Japanese Chandelier

With a Japanese inspired twist we created this one-off bespoke piece for a residential project.

Light

The lighting is mounted deep into and concealed in cylindrical heads. Upwards and downwards light cast playful lighting shapes to the ceiling and floor. Downwards lighting catches the rods below, allowing for shadow pattern casting to the floor.

Form

The form is derived from stacked chopsticks, and cantilevers from a central frame. At approximately 2 meters wide and 2 meters high, this large piece was constructed in 3 parts, delivered to site up the lift and pieced together in the space.

“We have used Sam to assist us with lighting calculations and modelling for some of our projects. Sam is extremely professional and always delivers on the timeframes set.”
