Craggy Range
This lighting design proposal by Dark Arts Studio presents a refined, atmospheric concept for the Craggy Range Mezzanine, centred on restraint, warmth, and material expression

The approach prioritises concealed and carefully controlled lighting to allow the architecture, finishes, and spatial volume to take prominence, avoiding visual clutter while adding depth, contrast, and subtle sparkle.
A warm general lighting palette of 2200–2400K is used throughout, drawing inspiration from firelight and candle glow to create an intimate, welcoming environment that encourages relaxation and quiet social interaction. Colder colour temperatures are used sparingly to accent stone elements, enhancing their texture, mass, and natural colour while providing visual contrast and focal interest.
Concept and Planning
The design is structured around layered lighting: narrow-beam spotlights cast dramatic shadows across the stone bar; concealed table lighting delivers intimate pools of light with flexibility for varied seating arrangements; uplighting between timber battens enhances vertical rhythm and curvature; and a dedicated hearth glow becomes a central atmospheric feature. Three alternative hearth lighting options are explored, each offering different balances of concealment, texture, and spill light.

Additions
Additional considerations include softly lit stairs, entrance accents, joinery illumination, and optional task lighting, ensuring both ambience and functionality while maintaining the overall minimalist, luxurious aesthetic
