269 Parnell Road
This busy event and marketplace in the heart of Parnell has a Mediterranean inspired courtyard, pavilion and surrounding restaurants.
Organic Light
We wanted to create a unique space that avoids a blanket wash of light. Instead, lighting is carefully integrated throughout the architecture and arranged in a deliberately varied way, reflecting the natural, organic forms of the space. The result is a layered and immersive atmosphere, where light reveals form, texture and detail without overpowering the architecture.
Design Intent
Tasked with illuminating the façade, exterior and covered event spaces, the lighting design brings the client’s personality to the forefront. Decorative pendants, fairy lights and unexpected pole-mounted fixtures create a playful and distinctive layer of light, adding character while supporting the atmosphere and function of each space.
Lighting Moments
“We have used Sam to assist us with lighting calculations and modelling for some of our projects. Sam is extremely professional and always delivers on the timeframes set.”
